(ASIC) What leverage can I select for my account?

In line with ASIC's Product Intervention Order (PIO), retail Australian traders can get maximum leverage of 1:30. This is fixed and cannot be changed. Refer to the ASIC media release

However, you can get higher leverage if you have been classified as a "sophisticated investor" or "wholesale client" (Blueberry Pro). To be classified as Blueberry Pro, you must pass our eligibility criteria, knowledge assessment, and phone interviews. Once approved, your leverage will increase for all instruments. Refer to the table below.

In the ASIC product intervention order:

  • major currency pair means any two of the Australian dollar, British pound, Canadian dollar, euro, Japanese yen, Swiss franc and US dollar;
  • a minor currency pair is any currency pair that is not a major currency pair;
  • major stock market indices are the GER30, DJ30, STOXX50, UK100, NAS100, SP500, JP225, AUS200;
  • a minor stock market index is any stock market index that is not a major stock market index.
